Description

We are currently seeking Senior Auditors to join our firm. Senior Auditors can work independent and perform most engagements with little supervision. They direct and review the work of staff auditors and are capable of making decisions on most accounting, tax, and auditing matters. When unusual or complex situations arise in the audit, they present the pertinent information to the senior engagement management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform accounting and assurance services working in a team environment primarily completing audit, review, and compilation, including preparations of financial statements.
  • Keeping clients and firm management apprised of engagement status though timely and ongoing communications.
  • Develop people effectively through delegation and teaching and guidance younger staff.
  • Research and resolve issues with the ability to document and convey results in a clear and concise manner.
  • Identify accounting matters and communicate to managers and partners assigned to the engagement.
  • Display an understanding of professional standards, GAAP, and GAAS.
  • Availability to travel to clients based on assignments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or other with sufficient coursework to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam.
  • CPA certification preferred
  • Two – four years of progressive audit experience in public accounting.
  • Reliable, strong work ethic, ability to prioritize to meet tight deadlines and a commitment to exceptional client service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organized, flexible, accurate, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  • Proven skills using Microsoft Office applications.  A working knowledge of ProSystem fx Engagement is a plus.

During his tenure, Ed helped expand and strengthen the firm’s accounting and assurance practice, emphasizing quality, technical rigor, and practical solutions. He played a key role in mentoring staff, developing industry specialties, and fostering a culture of client service.

As Partner Emeritus, Ed remains connected to the firm’s commitment to excellence and continues to serve as a resource to colleagues and clients.

John Lally is the founding partner of Lally & Co., where he dedicated his career to advising business owners and senior management on strategic planning, business valuation, litigation support, and complex tax matters. A trusted advisor for decades, John played a central role in shaping the firm’s growth, service philosophy, and commitment to client relationships.

John began his professional career in 1978 with the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of International Banking before joining PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1979. In 1983, he founded the firm that would ultimately become Lally & Co., helping establish the firm’s reputation for technical excellence and practical guidance.

As Partner Emeritus, John continues to contribute his time to the firm as a trusted advisor and to several boards and professional committees as he did through his career.

Randy Reynolds

Randy Reynolds served as a partner in the tax services practice at Lally & Co., where he led the firm’s tax practice and advised high-net-worth individuals and families, business owners, and closely held companies on tax matters. Throughout his career, Randy specialized in the taxation of individuals, corporations, S-corporations, and partnerships, as well as corporate acquisitions and client representation before the IRS and other taxing authorities. Randy was also a frequent lecturer and author of numerous tax-focused publications, contributing significantly to the profession through his technical knowledge and practical insights.

As Partner Emeritus, Randy remains a respected resource within the firm and the broader tax community, recognized for his leadership, expertise, and long-standing commitment to client service.
