Firm History

Every great business starts with a dream, and ours began in 1983 when John M. Lally left a then Big 8 accounting firm in Pittsburgh to create something more personal. His vision was to build a firm dedicated to helping business owners, organizations, and families navigate financial complexity with clarity and confidence.

What started as a small sole proprietorship quickly grew. In 1993, John’s brother Robert J. Lally joined the firm, bringing with him a decade of tax expertise and a shared passion for client service. Over the years, more talented leaders became part of our story, helping expand the services that we offer and the expertise that we bring.

Today, our team of professionals bring decades of combined experience, allowing us to provide thoughtful, comprehensive tax and business advisory services tailored to each client. And we do all of this in the same way that started it all – taking the complicated and make it simple.

A logo that truly represents our firm.

Just like a tree needs care to grow strong, your finances need the same attention.

For many business owners and families, managing wealth can feel tangled and overwhelming. That’s where Lally & Co. comes in. We believe that financial growth doesn’t have to be complicated. Our role is to take complexity and make it simple. We pride ourselves on providing expert guidance that is clear, straightforward, and easy to understand.

Our logo is a reminder of what we do every day: nurture your financial well-being with simplicity at the core. Whether it’s business or family matters, or a combination of both, we work with you to create straightforward solutions that support long-term stability and growth.

Much like tending to a tree, the time and care we invest in our clients today leads to strength, security, and lasting prosperity for the future. By keeping things simple, we ensure that your financial future is rooted in clarity and confidence.
